At North Shore Congregational Church, “Our purpose is to grow and deepen Christian Discipleship in a faith community guided by the Holy Spirit.” From worship and spiritual formation to youth programming and fellowship events, our goal is to draw closer to one another, and to God, as we seek to live out our lives of faith.
SENIOR MINISTER
Rev. Marty and his wife, Sharon, live in Mequon with their three children. After first feeling a call into ordained ministry at the age of 16, Rev. Marty went on to attend the College of Wooster (B.A., ’96), Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div., ’99) and McCormick Theological Seminary (D. Min., ’07). Prior to coming to North Shore Church in the summer of 2015, Rev. Marty served with churches in West Bloomfield, MI, Clarkston, MI and Fall River, MA.

DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES
Kelsey and her husband TJ are lifelong Congregationalists and live in an 1890s Victorian home in Milwaukee with their three very energetic children. Kelsey is a professionally trained harpist and has performed across the globe with major American orchestras.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3: 5-6)
Kelsey loves to cook and bake as evidenced by her cookbook collection. Raised with a love of Broadway musicals and Disney movies, Kelsey and TJ have a passion for the theater and produce in-home musicals twice a year. Kelsey also maintains an extensive collection of around 50 house plants. When not busy with the kids, she enjoys finding unique treasures at antique stores.

MUSIC DIRECTOR
Trinny Schumann and her son Henry live in Cedarburg, Wi. Trinny has been teaching, performing, and directing music in the Greater Milwaukee area for 29 years. She earned her B.A. in Music Education and Vocal Performance at Carthage College and her Masters in Music at UW-Milwaukee. Trinny currently is the choir director at Nicolet High School and has directed choirs with members of all ages (youngest 2–oldest 102).

Henry and I love to travel, we love doing science projects, going to museums, and spending time in nature.

OFFICE MANAGER
Kerrin lives with her partner, Ron, in rural Dodge County. She is the mother of 3 adult children and grandmother to a little boy. Raised in South Africa, she moved to the USA in 1997 and is a Naturalized Citizen. She has close to 35 years’ experience in Office Management, having gained much initial experience working for an international company and running her own small business with her late husband.

Country living and our 3 dogs fill much of my time. We have recently acquired a travel trailer and spend warmer weekends camping with our dogs. Winter is spent knitting, making our home cozy, and spending time with our children.
ORGANIST
Heide graduated from Valparaiso University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a minor in German. She has studied keys since the age of 4 starting with the Suzuki method on piano. She has played organ since the age of 13 with instruction from Dr. Kuhlman of Luther College, Dr. Black of Wartburg College, Dr. Brugh and Dr. Bognar of Valparaiso University. She is currently active on the American Guild of Organists (AGO) board of Milwaukee. Heide also owns Wild Iris Photography.

In her spare time, Heide enjoys running, knitting, woodworking, gardening, and being in nature.

Haley has attended North Shore Congregational Church for most of her life and lives in Bayside. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a degree in Journalism, Advertising & Media Studies.

Haley loves to listen to music, especially the Avett Brothers and the Head and the Heart. She also loves Broadway musicals and took part in the theater program while in high school. Haley has a large reading collection and loves YA and fantasy. She also loves to write but it constantly procrastinating.
