The Gift of Our Resources
“The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
2 Corinthians 9: 6-7
Estimates of Giving
There are no minimum contributions, or ‘dues,’ expected of members of the church. Each fall, the Stewardship Board presents a drive for the purpose of encouraging members to complete an Estimate of Giving (EOG) for the upcoming year. While completing such a card is not required, and it is fully understood that circumstances change in ways that sometimes impact our ability to fulfill the estimate presented, these estimates provide our church leadership with essential information in planning the budget for the following year.
To complete an EOG for this year, or for the coming year, download our current EOG card and mail it to the church office, or log in to your REALM account and enter the EOG directly via your giving portal.
Electronic Giving
North Shore Congregational Church is grateful for all support we receive from members and friends. Electronic gifts are managed through OnRealm.org and processed by Vanco. To make a gift by credit card or ACH transfer, please follow the link below to our Realm giving site. Members are encouraged to log in to their Realm account before making a contribution, but gifts from both registered members and guests are welcome.
Planned Giving
North Shore Congregational Church is always grateful for the bequests, estate gifts, and other legacy support that is provided by the members and friends of the church. Many of these gifts are housed in the Rev. Karl D. Schimpf Memorial and Special Gifts Fund, but still others are provided with alternate (or no) designations for administration and utilization. To learn more about planned giving, please see the NSCC Planned Giving Guide or contact the church office.
Privacy & Confidentiality
There is no understating the importance of privacy in the stewardship and support of a church. Our stewardship is a reflection of, and a matter for, our relationship with God – and it is not the business of anyone else. As a cheerful giver, you can be assured of your complete and total privacy in regard to the nature and amount of your giving to the church. While a rotating group of ‘counters’ will record contributions placed in the offering plates on Sunday, there is no one (including the Ministers) beyond the essential bookkeeping staff of the church who will know what any individual gives to support the ministries of this church.
