A Celebration of Life
Losing a loved one is difficult at every stage of life, but as followers of Christ, we have the assurance that much more awaits us than what we can see around us. This is a holy time, when we are most in need of the comfort and support of caring friends and clergy. One of the most important tasks of the church is to provide care and meaning to those who grieve.

Planning a Service
At North Shore, our ministers meet directly with families to make sure that each memorial service is specially tailored to honor the individual needs of those who grieve. From Scripture and hymn selections, to worship orders and visitation plans, our Ministers seek to guide the families, in faith and love, through each step of the process.
Memorials & Gifts
It is often the case that families will choose to name charitable organizations as recipients of contributions, in lieu of flowers. We are always honored when a family includes the church in such a designation. In such a case, families are given the option to name a particular ministry or project as the beneficiary of memorials, and our Ministers are happy to discuss possibilities during the planning process. In the absence of a specific ministry named, all memorial contributions will be added to our endowment, evenly split between our Mission and Meetinghouse Funds.
For more information, download our Endowment Brochure.
Pre-Planning
The extent and detail of pre-planning, in the anticipation of our own Memorials or Funerals, is a personal decision that weighs a number of factors. In order to best serve the members and friends of North Shore Congregational Church who wish to make more detailed plans, we make pre-planning forms available to assist in the process. If you would like to learn more about pre-planning, please contact one of our Ministers to learn more.
